pendulum animation sketches

Despite it being my first idea, I actually decided to choose the image in the first square. I chose this image because of its formal balance, as it makes it seem imposing and strong. the vertical lines also create a sense of formality and unity, and hopefully the dim spooky lighting added can create a sense of unease.

While the set of my clock is always the same, the changing of a camera angle can create a brand new composition and sense of feeling for the viewer. I propose starting off in a formally balanced scene but slowly turning the angle, creating the appearance that the viewer is falling into a "portal" inside the clock almost.

End of the year blog post

My favorite part of this year was being able to learn about animation and how to create fluid movements and portray emotion. It’s something that really interested me and It helped me learn How to create a story. While I am unable to create a script, this class has helped me move forward into my dreams of creating my own cartoons.  What was most difficult for me however was just trying to learn and understand blender. For most it was easy, but for me it seemed like I missed a step every time! With practice, I’ll be able to improve though!

Timing and spacing is important in animation because it is more pleasing to the viewer. It adds realism to the subject, or allows it to bring a character or object to life on the screen.
